Setup and Using Oasys Integration with EasyRx

Setup and Using Oasys Integration with EasyRx

EasyRx Practice Standard and Premium users now have the ability to integrate EasyRx with Oasys! The integration allows you to launch EasyRx from Oasys and open existing patients or add new patients to EasyRx in just a few clicks!
Sections 1 and 2 outline integration setup and using the integration

Section 1 - Integration Setup

Section 2 - Using the Integration

Section 1 - Integration Setup

Thanks to the good folks at Oasys, enabling the integration is very simple:

From the Treatment Card Administration screen, under Integrations, go to the 2nd Integration tab and check EasyRx to enable the integration:

Once the integration is enabled, you'll see the EasyRx logo on Treatment Card to launch Treatment Card:

Section 2 - Using the Integration

Connect Patient Records
You may have already entered patients in EasyRx. If so, you can link existing Oasys patient records with EasyRx patient records.   Click [Select Patient] under Connect Patient Records, lookup the patient and click [Connect]:

This will link the patient record in Oasys with the patient record in EasyRx. Going forward, the patient record will open automatically when opened using the integration.

Create a Patient
If the patient does not exist in EasyRx, click [Create] to add the patient.  EasyRx will add the patient record and update the fields in EasyRx.  And link the patient record in Oasys with the patient record in EasyRx

Once the patient is manually linked or added, EasyRx opens to the Patient screen.

NOTES:
  • EasyRx will open in the default browser on the computer.  We recommend using FireFox as your default browser for the best EasyRx experience.  However, Chrome, Safari and IE are supported. Go to setup on your preferred browser and find the settings to make it your "Default Browser". Your office's IT or Computer/Systems Admin should know how to do this.
  • The integration is a push integration, meaning Information is EasyRx is updated when the patient is opened from Oasys and the EasyRx integration button is clicked. For example, if you make a new appointment for the patient in Oasys, you need to use the Integration button again for EasyRx to pull the patient's new appointment data into EasyRx.  As long as you open patients from Oasys first, you'll be fine.
  • The integration does not auto-update appointment dates for EasyRx prescription already [Saved] or [Submitted] to your labs.
  • If the current appointment for a specific patient in EasyRx is later than the appointment date in Oasys, the appointment information will not updated in EasyRx.
