Wave Ortho Integration Document

This document outlines the integration between Wave Ortho and EasyRx.

  • Wave Ortho version: 10.36 or higher
  • EasyRx Standard, 3D Standard or Premium Practice Subscription Plan
Effective with Wave Ortho version 10.36,  Wave Ortho has enabled an integration with EasyRx. The integration with EasyRx is automatically enabled on the patient treatment Card. You will see the EasyRx button in the Today's Procedure section.

When the EasyRx button is clicked, EasyRx is opened and information about the selected patient is passed from Wave Ortho to EasyRx.  The following information is transferred to EasyRx:

• Patient ID
• Patient First Name
• Patient Last Name
• Date of Birth
• Next Appointment Date
• Next Appointment Time
• Next Appointment Location
• Next Appointment Type
• Next Appointment Description

Patient exists in EasyRx
If the the patient record opened is found in EasyRx, EasyRx opens the edit a patient screen. From here you can view the prescription history, create a Rx or attach a STL file and so forth

If the patient does exist in EasyRx, but EasyRx was unable to automatically link to the patient, you can manually link the patient.  Click [Select Patient] under Connect Patient Records, lookup the patient and click [Connect]:

This will link the patient record in Wave Ortho with the patient record in EasyRx. Going forward, the patient record will open automatically when opened using the integration.

Patient not found in EasyRx - Create New Record
If the patient does not exist in EasyRx, click [Create] to add the patient.  EasyRx will add the patient record and update the fields in EasyRx.  And link the patient record in Wave Ortho with the patient record in EasyRx

Once the patient is manually linked or added, EasyRx opens to the Edit Patient screen.

Information updated in Wave Ortho
When EasyRx is opened from Wave Ortho and the patient has a Tx Card entry today, a link to EasyRx is added to the Treatment Card, alerting you there is a Rx today.   A tooth chart icon is displayed, highlighted in the screen shot below.
