Alert Notifications - Setting up custom email / popup / push alerts for your Account

As of July 2016, EasyRx now includes a robust Alert Notification feature to keep you in-the-know regarding your EasyRx activity. There are two types of Alert Notifications you can setup.

Please note you will need to be logged in as your practice / lab administrator to setup/edit these alerts.

Desktop Notification Alerts:
Based on rules that you setup, you will get a real time pop-up browser notification when a specific event has occurred. Clicking on the alert will take you to the page where the event is linked to.

Daily Digest Email Alerts:
An end-of-day email sent to you that gives you a summary of events related to your EasyRx account. The events you'd like to be notified about are configured by you. The email includes a quick-link to access each notification.

Practices can configure alerts two ways:

From the user-dropdown menu:

-Login to your EasyRx Practice account using your main / administrator login

-Click the top-right user drop down button

-Select the [Recent Alerts] Tab

-From the Recent Alerts, click the [Edit Alert Notifications] button

From the Account Settings page:
-Login to your EasyRx Practice account using your main / administrator login

-Click the top-right user drop down button

There are 4 different Notification Methods you can setup:
  • Desktop Notifications are immediate pop-ups that occur as soon as specific event occurs. There are two types of Desktop Notifications:
    • Desktop Notifications (Only when logged into EasyRx) These notifications display as a pop-up when you are logged into EasyRx - if an event has occurred before you login, you will see it as soon as you log in to EasyRx from any browser
    • Desktop Push Notifications (whenever browser is open) These notifications display when the browser is open, you don't even need to be logged in EasyRx. If your browser is closed at the time of the notification, it will show when your browser opens up.
  • The Daily Digest is an Email that is a once-a-day email that will automatically be sent to any email of your choice. The email will include a summary of the Notification Events that day that are important to your practice or lab. If the event(s) that it calls for has no results (let's say you have an alert for Prescription Submitted and you got no Prescriptions today) you will not get a daily email.
  • Email notifications types are sent to the designated email address each time the event occurs. If you have Email setup for when "A Prescription is Submitted", you will get an email for every prescription submitted.

Helpful Hint: Since some of the rules can be configured to trigger alerts if a user is not logged in, these work best if your user accounts login from separate computers. Otherwise it may trigger an alert immediately when the other user is not present. Likewise, if you share one EasyRx account among multiple computers, only 1 computer will get the push notification. An example of this is: You have 5 computers with EasyRx actively logged in and open on all of them. If a notification is triggered, it will only appear on the most recently logged in computer. To effectively use the Alert Notifications, we recommend having User Accounts. You can learn more about User Accounts here.

Accessing your Recent Alerts
All your lab and practice users will have access to our Recent Alerts tab. You can access this page by click the top-right drop down and selecting [Recent Alerts] as shown below.
Here you will see a rolling list of All Alerts in your EasyRx account. We show the most recent alerts up top, descending to show older ones. The alerts shown are for all notifications related to your EasyRx account - it is not user-specific.

FAQ:

Q: I'm not getting the daily digest emails?
A: Check your email's spam or junk folder, be sure that you whitelist / accept emails from Support@easyrxortho.com -- Also check the email address associated with the alert to make sure they are going to the correct address

Q: I've configured notifications but do not see them pop-up, how do I fix it?
A: It's possible that you or a staff member may have disabled your browsers Notification for EasyRx. You will need to re-enable it to see them properly. If you are using Google Chrome, here is an example of how to enable it: in your browser, go ahead and login to your EasyRx account. Once you've logged in, look at the website address bar (URL bar) and look for a lock icon next to the URL bar.

Click the lock icon. It should give you a dropdown of what permissions are set for your EasyRx usage in your web browser. If it says "Blocked..." you will need to change the setting to allow notifications. Click the down arrow next to the notification and change to Allowed. This should allow you to see alert notifications. All done!

Q: I'd like some additional help regarding this feature
A: We got your back, give us a buzz at 1-888-340-3751 or email us at support@easyrxortho.com
